I'm starting to miss getting Chinese takeout, so for today’s lunch I decided to make my own version! I made it with yolk free noodles and I made it vegan. You can also use different noodles and make it gluten free!
Here are the ingredients!
· 1 bag of noodles
· 1 tablespoon of Asian Style Sprinkle from Savory Spice
· 1 teaspoon of curry powder
· 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
· 1 tablespoon of squeeze ginger paste
· 2 packets of soy sauce
· 4 packets of duck sauce
· 2 packets of hot mustard
· 1 tablespoon of garlic salt
· 10 large peeled and finely chopped garlic cloves
· 1 tablespoon of salt- for the pasta water
· 1 tablespoon of olive oil- for the pasta water
First, I filled a large pot with water and added in the olive oil and salt. I set it to high heat and covered it. Once the water was boiling, I added in the noodles and cooked them for 10 minutes.
In a large skillet, I added in all the seasonings, sauces, and garlic and cooked this on medium heat to make the sauce. Once the noodles were done, I drained them and added them straight into the skillet with the sauce. I stirred the noodles around for a minute to coat them in the seasonings, and then turned up the heat to high to five the noodles some color. I cooked them on high heat for about a minute or so because I did not want the garlic to burn, and then served.
