Today’s lunch is pork lettuce wraps! It’s so easy and flavorful!

Here are the ingredients!
· 1 package of ground Italian pork sausage (14 oz.)
· 1/4 of a head of lettuce- rinsed and broken apart into large enough pieces to make the wraps
· 3 cloves of garlic-peeled and chopped finely
· 1 /2 small white onion- cut into thin slivers
· 1 tablespoon of Kikkoman rice vinegar
· 1 tablespoon of Chinese Five Spice
· 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
To start, I rinsed the head of lettuce ad I was breaking it into pieces to make the wraps. I put all of it in my salad spinner and kept spinning it until there was no water left. I pulled out ¾ of the leaves and chopped them up to make a salad for later in the week and kept the other ¼ whole for the wraps.
In a large pan, I set the heat to high and added onion and browned it first, then I added in the sausage and broke it up into small pieces with my slotted spatula. It was shrink wrapped in a plastic wrap so I just cut the end off and emptied it into the pan. I added in the chopped garlic and browned it with the meat.
I added in the rice vinegar, the soy sauce, and the five spice and stirred it well to coat all the pork.
Once all the pork was browned, I used the spatula to scoop the meat and onion out of the pan so the remaining liquid would drain off and added some to each of the lettuce pieces.
I wrapped the lettuce up tightly to make the wraps and then served. I did not make a side for this.
