Church People Movie Review!

A new movie, the Church People is coming out soon.

This movie makes you look at how faith is being taught, and what people expect in today’s world. It really made me think about what is being done in today’s world. So many churches are trying to please people, trying to make everyone feel welcome, be the “feel good” place. That’s just not what it’s about.

I loved the one character’s heart, of wanting people to just know the gospel and not be a part of a freak show. It was kind of sad to see some of it, and think about local churches in our area that were the same. The actors in the movie were great. There was some stuff that made you say “okay…,” but most of it was family-friendly, made you think, made you laugh and helped you to take a look at your life a bit differently. I sure hope that there’s a part two of this movie. I want to see what happens with some of the characters, and how the church might be teaching now. It would be interesting to see.
