Chicken Tenders!

Tonight’s dinner is some chicken tenders!




Here are the ingredients!


· 3 tablespoons of the Cajun Blacking seasoning- from Savory Spice

· 1 tablespoon of the Hickory Smoked Sea Salt- from Savory Spice

· 1 bag of Tyson frozen chicken tenders ( 2lbs.)

· 4 backbones from Cornish hens- for flavor

· 1 stick of unsalted butter

· 10 sprigs of fresh rosemary

2 cups of crushed tomatoes

· 2 pouches of Uncle Ben’s Whole Grain Brown Rice




First, I removed the chicken from the freezer and placed all of it in a large bowl to thaw this morning.


Once it was thawed completely, I patted each piece dry with a paper towel. I placed all the chicken in a medium sized glass casserole dish and sprinkled the seasonings on all sides. I cut up the stick of butter and placed it around the chicken


I picked the 5 sprigs of fresh rosemary from my garden, washed it, patted it dry, and then placed it around the tenders. I placed the 4 backbones of the Cornish hens in the dish for flavor. I poured the crushed tomatoes around the chicken. I cut the butter into thin slices and put it around the chicken also.


I baked the tenders for 30 minutes at 450 degrees, broiled them for 1 minute, and then let them stand for about 5 minutes before serving. I removed the backs before serving.


I also made 2 pouches of the whole grain rice in the microwave for 90 seconds and served it as the side.
